Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Anis Khalil Nail, the Family and Community Medicine Department at the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, hosted the meeting of the Ministerial Committee for the update of medical school curricula in Iraq, focusing on antimicrobial agents and infection control. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Colleges of Medicine at Al-Nahrain, Al-Mustansiriya, and Al-Kindi on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

During the meeting, a draft of the joint report on the curricula of medical schools was prepared, along with a draft proposal for the curriculum to be added to the colleges' curricula according to the system and specifics of each college. This draft will be presented to the Higher Ministerial Committee and the Council of Deans of Medical Colleges in Iraq. These meetings are essential steps in developing the curricula in medical schools, achieving sustainable development goals and international accreditation.

Under the patronage of the honorable Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Nahreen, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nael, the Family and Community Medicine branch organized a student activity for postgraduate students from various scientific branches. It included displaying posters and installing models embodying the objectives of sustainable development and the role of higher education institutions in achieving them. The posters were hung at the entrance of the dean's office and the entrance of the Family and Community Medicine branch.
