Professor Dr. Mahmoud Shakir Khudair, Head of the Internal Medicine Department at the College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University and Chairman of the Scientific Committee supervising the Adult Endocrinology and Diabetes Subspecialty Program at the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations, participated in the discussion of third-year students' research projects for this subspecialty. The discussions were held at the National Diabetes Research Center – Al-Mustansiriya University. The sessions included the presentation and review of six scientific research projects covering a range of important topics in the field of endocrinology and diabetes. These included diabetes and its complications, as well as thyroid, adrenal gland diseases, and osteoporosis. The scientific discussions were attended by a distinguished group of endocrinology and diabetes professors from various Iraqi universities, including those from Baghdad and other provinces. Their presence added a distinctive academic atmosphere to the event and contributed to strengthening academic communication and the exchange of expertise among specialists in this vital field.
