The College of Medicine – Al-Nahrain University held a comprehensive scientific symposium on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, addressing common viral diseases and methods of prevention. The event was attended by a number of academic and administrative staff, including the Associate Dean for Dormitory Affairs and dormitory supervisors. The symposium focused on a group of significant viruses that pose a global health challenge, namely: Monkeypox, Hemorrhagic Fever, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV/AIDS), and Viral Hepatitis. It covered the modes of transmission of these viruses and the preventive measures against them, aiming to raise health awareness and promote community-based prevention.
