The Department of Internal Medicine at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine, in collaboration with the scientific committee overseeing the study of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Iraqi Board for Medical Specializations, held a specialized scientific symposium featuring case presentations on pituitary and parathyroid disorders and osteoporosis. The symposium also included two scientific lectures. Professor Mahmoud Shaker Khudhair Al-Zaidi and Dr. Jalal Abdul Ali delivered lectures addressing the topic of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan and its effects on diabetic patients, providing medical guidelines for managing fasting in such cases. The symposium was attended by a large number of professors and internal medicine and endocrinology specialists from various centers and provinces. It witnessed fruitful scientific discussions on the latest developments in diagnosing and treating endocrine disorders and the impact of fasting on diabetic patients. This event is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the college to promote research and foster academic communication among specialists.
