Under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Medicine at Al-Nahrain University, Prof. Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, as part of the Continuing Education Unit's program, organized an in-person workshop titled "Chemical Safety and Security" on Monday, 3rd February 2025, for a duration of two days. The workshop was attended by several faculty members from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, along with members from other scientific departments, as well as postgraduate students. It covered important topics related to chemical safety and security, emphasizing the crucial role of laboratory supervisors and providing more advanced awareness on the essential precautions to avoid potential dangers in medical laboratories. The workshop also focused on the latest methods and techniques for chemical safety and how to effectively manage them. The workshop aimed to: Introduce the key safety guidelines and instructions for laboratory safety, highlighting their importance for postgraduate students, researchers, and laboratory personnel.
