Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Medicine, Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Anis Khalil Nail, the Family and Community Medicine Training Center at Al-Nahrain College of Medicine supervised the discussions of the Iraqi Family Medicine Council students. Student Zahraa Youssef fulfilled the requirements of her research discussion on her thesis titled "Body Image and Self-Esteem Among a Sample of Students from Al-Mustansiriyah University." The committee was composed of the following professors: Professor Dr. Wijdan Akram (Member) Consultant Dr. Kifah Hamed (Member) Assistant Professor Dr. Nibras Alaa Hussein (Member) Consultant Dr. Lamia Ali Hassan (Supervisor)
The research findings highlighted the complex interaction between body image and self-esteem among university students, where the academic environment has a significant impact. The results emphasize the need for targeted interventions to promote positive self-perception and mental well-being, especially in high-pressure academic settings like medical colleges.
