A surgical operation was performed by a team from Al-Nahrain College of Medicine at Saad Al-Watari Neuroscience Hospital for a nine-year-old child suffering from hydrocephalus. A ventriculoperitoneal shunt was placed, and it was also discovered that the child had a large brain tumor located in the posterior part of the brain, between the cerebellum and brainstem. The tumor was surgically removed on the morning of Thursday, January 9, 2025. The surgery lasted approximately five hours and was successfully completed. The patient's condition is stable, and a post-operative CT scan confirmed that the entire tumor was removed. Thank God.
