A joint surgical team from the Department of Thoracic and Vascular Surgery and the Department of Otolaryngology performed a highly complex and very rare surgery on a three-year-old girl. The surgical team confirmed that the child had a tumor on the right side of her neck, beneath the lower right jaw. After conducting laboratory and radiological tests, the tumor, which was identified as a congenital cyst (First Branchial Cleft Cyst), was completely removed. The cyst extended from the neck to the outer ear. The surgery lasted two hours, and the child made a full recovery.
